Last night we had a very nice 4^th of July dinner on a terrace overlooking the Guadalupe river at Bella Vita in Kerrville. At 9:30pm the fireworks began. The display is setup on the island right across the river from where we were eating allowing us a front row seat. At some point during this event, I realized that this was my 29th consecutive 4^th in Kerrville. That got me to thinking of other streaks I've either had or still have.

• I spent every Christmas with my parents until my dad's last one in 1998
• I went 23 years without forgetting my anniversary (unfortunately, I can't say the same for number 24 :-( )
• I have never forgotten my wife's birthday (I at least still have that one going for me :-) )
• I have never purchased underwear (always been my mom or wife)
• I haven't watched a single TV drama series since Hill Street Blues
• I have never bounced a check

I could go on, but this is starting to look like the 25 Things About Me list. Regardless, the point is that we all probably have these little streaks going. They're not anything of particular signifigance and the world won't come to and end if the streak is broken. It's just one of those little things. BTW, I've written something on this web every day since it went live. We'll see how long that streak goes.
