Even though this is the Wine area of my website, I thought I should include a complementary vice. I have experimented with cigars since I was a teenager. Those of you that can say the same most likely know that it starts with Swisher Sweets and moves on through a variety of convenience store types. If you're stout enough to stick with the desire, you will eventually mature and begin visiting real cigar stores.

Once you reach this plateau, there are a myriad of brands, shapes, sizes, colors, strengths, etc. from which to choose. Again, if you're determined and stick with it, you will eventually find your taste and narrow the field down to a few select choices.

I have more than reached this state. I have one cigar that I smoke. This is not to say that I won't smoke other cigars. I gladly accept gifts and when offered and enjoy partaking in the stock of others. It's just that, for my taste, I have found the ultimate in smoking pleasure. It is the Jose Seijas Signature Series Robusto. I am not going to treat this like the wines. Unless something comes along that knocks my socks off and I just have to say something about it, the entire cigar section will be limited to this one stogie.

The Jose Seijas Signature Series is a line of full bodied, dark wrapper cigars. Jose Seijas runs the Tabacalera de Garcia Ltd. in the Dominican Republic. This is the home of MonteCristo, H. Upmann and Romeo y Julieta. The other brands manufactured at Tabacalera de Garcia are made for the broad ranges in taste of the general public. The Seijas Signature series is made for the taste of the man himself. The tobaccos are handpicked as are the people who roll the cigars. Everything about this cigar is personally overseen by Jose Seijas. I could go on and on, but will leave it here. I will add one thing. I don't smoke this cigar because of its "pedigree". I discovered the cigar and then chose to research its history. I mention this, because whether you consider your cigar taste to be common or sophisticated, I hope you will get a chance to sample this truly wonderful cigar.
